DESCRIPTION

Packing seal is packed in packing box by packing, and packing is pressed on the surface of shaft by packing gland. The packing and friction of the packing and the shaft surface are also similar to sliding bearings. There should be enough liquid to lubricate to ensure a certain life of the seal, the so-called "bearing effect". This shows that a good packing seal is a combination of the labyrinth effect and the bearing effect.

There is a certain elastoplasticity. When the packing is axially compressed, it can produce a large radial compression force to obtain a seal; when the machine and the shaft have vibration or the shaft has runout and eccentricity, it can have a certain compensation capacity (followability);
Chemical stability. It is neither corroded, swelled by the medium nor polluted by the medium;
Impermeability. The medium has some penetration into most fibers, so the filler structure is required to be dense. Therefore, when making the filler, it is often necessary to impregnate and fill with various lubricants and fillers;
Good self-lubrication, low friction coefficient and wear resistance;
Temperature resistance. When the friction heats up, it can withstand a certain temperature;
Easy to disassemble;
